Biography/Details

Hello! My name is Caleb Marll and I am the Assistant Resident Director of Emerson Hall. I grew up in Washington State before coming to Westmont as a student, where I graduated in 2023 with a degree in Religious Studies. While at Westmont, I was involved with Residence Life as an RA, served as an Intercultural Programs leader, and was a member of the Chapel Band. I returned to Westmont in the fall of 2023 as the Campus Life Coordinator, a role that I will continue in addition to my time in Emerson. It was in this role that I was introduced to the vital and exciting work of student development!

As a Resident Director, I have the unique privilege of walking alongside students as they explore the joys, challenges, and nuances of living in community. We place a high value on community life here at Westmont, but that does not mean it is easy! My mission is to go deeper with students as we help each other understand what it means to love our neighbors well while seeing the inherent image of God within ourselves and others. When I'm not in Emerson, you can find me cycling along the Montecito roads, reading a good book at the beach, or finding my next cup of coffee!

Hometown: Spokane, WA

Role on campus? Coordinating for the Campus Life and Intercultural Programs Departments, advising Spring Sing, and serving as the ARD of Emerson

Favorite thing about Westmont? How friendly everyone is! A close second is the faculty and staff dogs (especially Ollie).

Favorite thing to do away from Westmont? In my free time, I love to cycle, play music, and make delicious meals with friends!
